Shoot for the Stars and Galaxy

Here’s a quick update on what’s cooking at the Dojo. First off, there’s going to be a new tutorial tomorrow on the galaxy nebula you guys were so interested in. We’ll create it entirely in After Effects using primarily the Trapcode Suite and it will be fully 3D interactive for your projects. Check out an older preview video below.

Aside from galaxies, your Iron Chef has been working on some neat stuff like robot transformations, automatic lip sync thanks to Mamoworld, ShapeShifter goodness, and much more. Things have been a bit busy lately so I haven’t been able to focus a lot on content creation for the Dojo, but I’m still working.

In the meantime, if you guys have any tutorial ideas or suggestions, feel free to drop them down below in the comments. Again, thank you all for the continuous support and awesome feedback!

      Thanks buddy!

  4. 1 Commen: I wouldn’t call this a Nebula, it’s more some sort of a colourfull black hole haha!

True, it’s technically just galaxies, but nebulas seem more interesting. :)

  5. Tutorial idea

    Hey Vinhson!

I was wondering if you could make a tutorial on how to create this effect (Death Eater Smoke from Harry potter)

Thanks for the suggestion! It’s simply just a cloudlet particle emitting from a point. I’ll see what I can whip up though. :)

Vinhson, i was wondering how to animate the nebula to spin around, for i want to use it as a vortex, almost a black hole animation for a vfx short im making. Thanks!

The easiest way would be to animate the camera or rotate the null :)
